Come help us remove crayfish from your creeks and streams! Crayfish are a non-native species to California, and they’re considered invasive because they cause quite a bit of damage to the aquatic ecosystems. They prey on native species, reduce water quality, and cause problems with creek bed erosion. We need your help in trapping and removing the crayfish as well as picking up trash along the stream.

PARKING: You are free to park anywhere within reason. This is near a residential area, so please be respectful of the folks who live there!

Our staff will meet volunteers on the Medea Creek Trail, which starts at the corner of Conifer Street and Parkview Drive.

This event is great fun for volunteers of all ages! Volunteers 12 years or younger must be accompanied by an adult. Volunteers under the age of 18 must bring the Parental Consent Form with a parent or guardian’s signature if the parent or guardian is not attending.

Registration is free, but required. Registered volunteers will receive an email confirmation with more details.
